Any musician who performs wants to put up an excellent live show. It's only next to getting beautiful tunes recorded. An entertaining & exciting concert will help you gain more fans while still providing a better atmosphere for everyone involved. However, putting on grand stage performance is not easy.
Performers don't play live too much as professional singers. They mostly do this when they are on a trial offer. But it does not always happen; singers tend to sing live at concerts as well. If you are planning a concert & keenly looking for some tips to make your concert a success( You can visit LVL Music Academy too to polish your skills and make your live singing a fun experience), read out the given tips;
Be genuinely excellent
I know it seems self-evident, but seriously, be excellent at what you're doing. Your entire band should be well-rehearsed, prepared for the performance, and creative. In Detroit, I saw a band with an incredible keyboardist and singer. They were so successful that they had been doing significant events in the past.
The singer seemed hungover and unable to recall the tracks. The guitarist was also recruited recently or had only learned recently to play. All of this led to the failure of the show. Therefore, put effort into becoming genuinely creative, and your performances will consequently improve. Also, do not forget to practice the songs you are going to perform at the concert.
Make an effort to put thought into your outfits.
This is something that needs consideration & feels nervous about. As a lady performer, prefer performing in heels. Weaning sneakers or boots like students don’t leave a good impression on the audience. It is because people come to concerts to listen to you but also see you as fashion inspiration.
That being said, it is essential to wear according to the weather. Wearing a backless dress in winter is a bad idea. Try weaning something cool but unique that catches the attention of the audience immediately.
It's a well-kept industry secret, but many bands employ actresses to play famous friends. A renowned model in an interview once said that “When I was modeling, I was requested to do it for some extensive touring bands (I won't name).” If you are a first-time performer, it’s a great idea to get along with famous models, actors, or even singers.
Have Eye-Catching Visuals
Offer folks a reason to pay attention to you. It doesn't matter if it's your dress, stage props, or any other eye-catchers that will get your viewers to pay attention to you. A fun choice is to use projector monitors.
Take the audience’s response as a grain of salt.
A blogger once wrote that one of my close friends works as a regular performer at a well-known New York cafe. Some nights, he claims, people respond to his every word, while sometimes, no one listens. So you need to take the response of the audience as a grain of salt. Last but not least, try your best and be as much as possible while you are performing.
